Michigan March brought tornadoes, snow, and ice, sometimes all at once. Ice on our tower is a reminder that MPSCS stays ready through it all. Severe weather awareness matters, but we’re definitely ready to trade forecasts for sunshine. Warm weather can show up anytime now.

March 15–21 is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Michigan. MPSCS encourages residents to “Know Your Plan” and stay prepared. Thunderstorms, windstorms, floods, and tornadoes can develop quickly be ready and stay informed.

Yesterday was Conservation Officer Appreciation Day. MPSCS recognizes the vital role conservation officers play in protecting Michigan’s citizens, environment, and natural resources while ensuring safe outdoor recreation statewide. Thank you to the @MichiganDNR

Yesterday was International Women’s Day. MPSCS recognizes and celebrates the women serving in public safety and communications. Innovator Hedy Lamarr co-developed frequency-hopping technology in WWII, helping lay the foundation for modern wireless systems used today.
