The healing power of play In our Child Life and Therapeutic Recreation playroom sessions, patients get a chance to set worries aside and just be kids—playing, connecting with peers, and exploring creativity in a safe, supportive environment that promotes development and healing.

Irvine Nature Center is always a favorite outing spot! We explored new exhibits, enjoyed the children’s corner, completed a scavenger hunt, and had fun with games and Bata. A day full of smiles, learning, and independence! 💙

Winter skill building with Bata 🐾❄️ Patients helped “rescue” his frozen toys while practicing fine motor skills, communication, sensory exposure, problem-solving & teamwork. Bata’s strategy? Licking and chomping 😉 Finished with a well-earned game of fetch!

Home at last! 🎉💙 Yesterday, we joyfully celebrated Caleb heading home with his family. After four months at MWPH growing and getting stronger—following his time at GBMC—it’s incredible to see how far he’s come. We couldn’t be happier for this beautiful family.
