BRO WTF IS THIS GAMES COMBAT I'VE ***JUST*** BROKEN 10 HOURS IN #CrimsonDesert AND BOUNCING THAT GUY OFF THE WALL INTO THE SUPLEX WAS THE HOTTEST THING I'VE EVER DONE. I was actually tryna suplex his friend next to him, but he came back & said "but what about second breakfast?"

Oh wait, silly me. I forgot this is Jujutsu Kaisen. Animated by MAPPA. Yeah that adds in a completely new variable: Uhhh actual slavery & abuse. This is the animation director at MAPPA vvv Yes, he looks half dead and the bags under his eyes have bags. Don't be like MAPPA.

I feel bad how much damage control they seem to do, cause they seem to stress that animation is hard. While also not giving the animators time to cook. #Invincible HAS good looking episodes here & there. So we know they can do it if they're given the time they need.

This is a difference in scheduling & time. I just REALLY want to stress that this is not a matter of the animators competence. I don't want them getting bashed for something that's not their fault. Some fuckass higher-ups wanna retain as much money as possible.

@Novareferences o It's from another fight I'm working on. It's pretty far from finished lol. It, along with most of the animations I do, is based on the events of our D&D Campaign.

I think this is okay, so long as it's clearly intended to be a reference to it lol. So long as you throw in your own creative twist. This choreo by Monty Oum however, I will FOREVER find ways to slip in. I usually flip it the other way tho so it's not 1-1 & looks more original.

I grew up on the PS2 but... The PS1 tickles a SPECIAL early nostalgia bone within me from VERY early in my childhood...

@Mar_Animation what video is the 2nd animation from?

It's just... SO GOOD. I usually just reference timing, maybe some choreography. Or at least mix it with other choreo. I don't reference choreography directly too terribly often. So I'll reference the choreo's timing, and have a different exchange in comparison.

Also "Wrath of Cortez" was the only Crash game I remember owning, and evidently it was the one everyone hated cause it wasn't made by Naughty Dog and they failed to replicate the same magic or something lol. And I barely scratched Ratchet & Clank in my childhood lol.

Jak & Daxter Sly was there just about as much but Jak was the main bulk of my childhood that wasn't DBZ Fun Fact My name "Mar" is from the Spanish word for "Ocean." Which felt right since my IRL name is "River" Its also a reference to the same "Mar" from Jak & Daxter lore lol

Low key, I feel like 9/11 had a hand in it's success. After such a terrifying event, people latched on to anything that encouraged unity & friendship. Halo, and many other things, came out at just the right time after something like that.

Halo really was just a whirlwind phenomenon huh.... Those conditions that made it happen in the first place just don't exist anymore. Today, it could do EVERYTHING right, EVERYTHING classic & newer fans would want... It would NEVER achieve the same explosion Halo 3 had.

Okay but why Sakura keep pulling like that? Why she even grip Lee's clothes at all? Is there a form of shoulder pat meta that I'm unaware of that includes tearing all your homies clothes off in one pull?

@BorutoTBV106 I could be wrong, so feel free to check me. This type of animation would've fit like a glove in OP, even in it's more serious moments, but Naruto has a lot more angst & edge. So it was ill-fitted. So that's why I hate people calling this "bad animation" when it's not.

@BorutoTBV106 I always hate when people call this "bad animation." Cause the animation isn't the problem. The animation is GLORIOUS. The problem was inappropriate direction. iirc, an animation supervisor came back from working on One Piece for a few years, then worked on this episode.

The animation here was way ahead of its time.

I made new progress, so I posted old progress to Patreon, and now that I've done that I can post old old progress to Twitter.

All this time it was one of those shows that was just in my peripheral that was like "I'll watch it eventually." I thought it was just a cute animated series with moderately mature humor & PG-13 swearing. But like... GYAWD DAYUM.

So I finally got around to watching the live action One Piece But then I saw #DigitalCircus was on Netflix & was confused, because I thought that just on YouTube...? Anyway I watched it & uh... WOW. I was FIERCELY sleeping on it. I didn't doubt I'd like it but HOLY SHIT.
