Seems appropriate to mark this day. Too many are killed working for others' benefit. The COVID pandemic has seen too many deaths of essential workers. Thank you to those who remain on the job despite the dangers.

@lynayanb Seems this service delivers recyclables to the Fundy Region Solid Waste Commission. Costs $17/month. No mention of what happens after it arrives at the landfill. Relies on FRSWC to find markets for the stuff. Otherwise, over it goes!

@lynayanb Fascinating. I called them; their website is thebluerun.com and I will look into this. Chucking all apt waste into the landfill seems like an arcane process. And reduces your landfill's lifespan. Death-span?

I retweet this because a civil society group I support asked Fredericton City Council on several occasions to present on declaring a Climate Emergency. They refused to hear or refer us to Committee. STU Students got same treatment. How is that democracy?
