Practicing with new performance technology for students to interact with. Learning quicker ways to give formative feedback to my students in the moment with @BCPSMATH

This morning with @BCPSMATH we talked about how our students are accessing quadratic functions and the many entry points they could use to solve their math tasks. We also talked about strategies to progress them toward the grade level standards of these task.

The resistance for knowledge in the kids today is like no other! One of my teachers always used to tell me, “they say if you want to keep something from a black man, put it in a book.” I completed tons of 100 book challenges because of it. Most students can’t read a book on level

I forgot all about this picture. This was an amazing week with some great people. My year with the math curriculum was nothing short of amazing.

In class today, learning the progression of arithmetic operations on polynomials starting in early primary all the way through high school. Using manipulative to help kids build conceptual understanding rather than just because 🍎
