I can’t stop looking at this graph. I read what the AAMC does… “The AAMC is dedicated to transforming health care through innovative medical education, cutting-edge patient care, and groundbreaking medical research.” And then I think on how much money the thousands of income-less applicants pay to play the Match. THEY are the ones to drive almost half the revenue for this massive, well-connected organization?? Major icky feeling.

7 of our residents hold positions on EMRA committees! That's >10% of our residency! When we say that we train current and future leaders in #EmergencyMedicine, this just some of the proof. These residents represent everyone from our interns to chiefs and we couldn't be prouder.

Had a blast representing the @emresidents simulation committee at ACEP2022! Shoutout to Premature Anne (our sim mannequin) who was the real star of the show 👶

TLDR: Here is a framework for future emergency medicine research to retarget research questions and interventions away from individual patient factors and towards structural factors that lead to the disparities we see every day
