the way the cast create this intricate world with such phenomenal performances in just mocap suits & bare-boned sets like this is truly acting in its purest form & the industry does not give them the flowers they deserve!

Youre taking a game made for gamers by gamers with gamers in mind and trying to profit off its name.

“Why is it so hard to land again” is only a question if you ignore how Apollo actually worked. We did not lose the ability. We stopped funding the program. Apollo was a massive national project with 400,000 people, a blank check budget, and a Cold War deadline. When the political goal was met, the money and workforce were redirected.
Modern missions are not trying to repeat Apollo. They are trying to build sustainable systems, reusable landers, long duration habitats, and deep space infrastructure. That is a much harder engineering problem than a short term flags and footprints mission.
If we wanted another Apollo style landing, we could brute force it the same way we did in the 60s. The challenge today is not “we forgot how.” It is that we are building something bigger, safer, and meant to last. The difficulty is a sign of ambition, not evidence of a hoax.

@nathanrobii There is a big difference between motion capture and performance capture. They were clear to highlight the differences way back in 2009 with the first Avatar, how are people still conflating the two? You do a disservice to the actors to call it "mocap".

There's nothing you won't see on the internet. So, this woman named Becky is attempting the World Masturbation records. You need to see how friends, parents and her boss came to support her. The highlight for me was when they started saying we believe she can do it because she's been "training for months" They made it sound like it's the marathon she's preparing for. I hope it's just a skit

@JustEsBaraheni Yes, but a small point to your post, which is somewhat misleading... the picture on the left is not how they made the shot on the right. That shot is made using VFX, with another 2017 shots in the movie.

The best compliment I can give this movie that you could tell that it was made by people. The practicality spoke volumes. That’s a huge achievement with something that looks as beautiful as this does on a big screen.

@DiscussingFilm No, @DiscussingFilm, it wasn't. A couple of close-up shots of Ryan Gosling's helmet and the reflections in it, were created using this method, but the scene as a whole, is largely created with visual effects by @ILMVFX.
Please do better. This is lazy reporting and is misleading.

The astrophage space scene in ‘PROJECT HAIL MARY’ was created by tiny LEDs placed on chicken wire that were used while pouring water in front of the lens to refract the light.
It was then shot with an Alexa LF camera with the infrared filter removed.
