I see Prince William has started a group to help get 300,000 homeless people off the streets within five years. Good for him but surely the questions must be, 1) Why is he having to do it? 2) Why are there so many homeless people in one of the wealthiest countries in the world?

I really want everyone to pivot back from video. I fucking hate video. Do not ever make me watch a video just to obtain information. Making me watch a video instead of giving me text I can read is an act of violence against me specifically. When will it end.

Of course this is the railways fault... Every day rail staff sort out the mess created by passengers who just want a bit of levity, a bit of fucking about.... Get on to the station, go to the platform, get on the train. You don't need to fuck about.

@CyclingEurope Our most recent Interrail trip outbound day was an EMR service to St Pancras, Thameslink to Farringdon, then Elizabeth Line to Heathrow. Inbound Greater Anglia Harwich to Cambridge, Cambridge to Home by Cross Country.

I'm off to hike the Tour de Mont Blanc in August. I'm thinking of buying a '7 days within 1 month' Global Interrail Pass to get me there and back, leisurely. I'm entitled to one outbound and one inbound train journey in my home country (the UK). Is that one 'train' or one 'train journey'? I will need to travel from Yorkshire to Dover to take a ferry and that will involve three trains each way. Any thoughts? @Interrail? @CycleGBcoast?

@Sebast1antombs @seatsixtyone We've just come home using the Harwich ferry. We stayed overnight in Hoek village in a great hotel. Used the direct train to Cambridge with an easy connection with a Cross Country Trains service to Peterborough, Leicester & Birmingham for travel to the Midlands & the North

@seatsixtyone Must admit I hadn't checked trains to ferry terminals, there's a direct train from Warsaw to Brussels same station euro star leaves from, unfortunately not a sleeper as its a 17 hour trip I was looking at 3 trains and approximately 22 hours to get home

Having been told I'm probably not going to be allowed to fly for another 2 weeks I was contemplating coming home by train. If I can't get a seat on the euro star that's going to be a little difficult

This is what resilience looks like. Before leaving Kherson yesterday, this train was hit in a 🇷🇺shelling that left one of its carriages on fire and one steward wounded. Still, the trip was only delayed by 14 minutes, ending in Lviv today according to schedule - to the minute
