Trump entertained the idea of Kurdish exiled forces opening a ground front against Tehran, then quickly backed off. By then, Iran had already done what it does best, with a vengeance: threaten, surveil, infiltrate, & strike Kurdish areas on both sides of the border, while the U.S. & Israel offered no clear plan. The regime in Tehran has been controlling the streets each night by flooding them with its supporters to preempt anti-regime protests before they begin. It’s working for now. But this is not sustainable. Once the war ends, holding the streets indefinitely will become far more difficult. #IranWar



For Iran, the IRGC and the PMF this is indeed a victory. One must understand that the destruction of their assets has been part of their doctrine - they were well aware of the losses that they would take. Their view of a victory is the survival of the regime. Iran has also learned the most vital lesson: Destroy as much economic assets as necessary to make a war too costly for the USA to pursue it further.
