“Everybody hears the story that they wanna” This line in itself is very self explanatory. It express how public perception works and the narratives are never neutral, it is biased. People choose the version of the story that helps reaffirm the version that confirms what they already believe. “쟤넨 이거 땜에 떴어, 내가 맞어” "This is how they made it, trust me” This line sarcasm directed at how confidently people reduce years of persistence into one convenient explanation. There is always someone claiming they know "BTS's formula" for success as if their journey can be reverse engineered. The irony is that the people who speak with the most certainty are often the ones furthest removed from the struggle. The "trust me" is cherry on top expressing they don't have proofs so they will tell you to just trust them. “We just big boys, a.k.a. 촌놈” (“country boys”), The word 촌놈 carries a dismissive tone someone unsophisticated, someone from outside the cultural center, someone underestimated. Reclaiming it reframes the narrative: yes, we came from nowhere, no elite networks, and still made it. “그냥 뭐 기세지 just shut up, shut up” “We just faked it till we made it, just shut up, shut up” When outsiders cannot fully understand the grind, they label it as luck, timing, or pretending confidence. “fake it till you make it” here is survival. Sometimes belief has to come first for survival. The repetition of “shut up” feels like exhaustion from constantly being told a fake version of their journey that is not true to make their efforts look less.

So I went to pick up my ARIRANG (Deluxe) vinyl… except of course France said “non 💅”, sent it to another store and it took them 5 days to locate it. Because here we don’t do “efficient”. We do “a little quest for character development”. Anyway. I’m walking around Paris clutching this vinyl like it’s my firstborn, absolutely glowing. I decide to celebrate with a coffee frappuccino. I order. Then I stand at the counter waiting for them to call my name like it’s attendance in primary school. I place the vinyl on the counter. Next to me: a very classy grandma. Pearls. Perfect hair. The vibe of “I own property.” She smiles politely. The barista looks up: vinyl. me. vinyl again. Instant biggest smile of the day. “Bonjour! How are you?” I go “Hi! I’m good, thanks, how are you?” all friendly, all normal, while my brain quietly whispers: I know her? I don’t know her? Do you know her? You definitely know her. From where? From WHEN? She keeps staring at the vinyl with this huge smile. Then she nods at it and goes, very quietly: “BTS?” And BOOM. Code word unlocked. I light up instantly. “OHHH YES.” Her face transforms. “I’m ARMY too.”😃 And listen… we went from “grown French women” to “Disney side characters who just found their people” in 0.2 seconds. And suddenly we’re both talking at 300 words per minute: Do you love the album? Are you going to Paris? The lives? THE MVs ? HOOLIGAN? 2.0? RUN BTS? Then she goes: “Who’s your bias?” I answer. She FREEZES. Big eyes. Mouth open. Full gasp like I just revealed a secret identity. “NO WAY.” Me: “WAIT… YOU TOO??” Her: “YES!!!” And we do this tiny hand-hold jump like we’re two toddlers who just found out we’re both obsessed with dinosaurs. Classy Grandma next to us is watching like: “What is this ceremony and why are they bouncing like caffeinated penguins?” Then my drink comes out and the barista goes:“Whipped cream?” And I say, like a fool:“Sure.” When I tell you she put SO MUCH whipped cream … like she’s trying to build the Eiffel Tower out of dairy.🤣 I burst out laughing. She’s laughing. Grandma is staring into the middle distance like she’s reconsidering modern society. I grab my drink, clutch my vinyl and I’m like:“See you at the concert!” And she’s like:“YESSSSSS!” So yeah. I left with: 1) ARIRANG Deluxe vinyl 2) a frappuccino with a whipped cream skyscraper 3) a fresh ARMY connection 4) a grandma somewhere thinking BTS is a secret society…. This is what BTS does. #BTS_ARİRANG

@MinTaeMon My best advice: Get a tutor. There are so many great ones on Preply and in every price range. If money isn't a problem I can recommend mine. He is really good. And also I really really recommend the TTMIK app "Seyo". It has helped me so much! It's not free though.
