i'd agree with this if the game wasn't obviously r**e fetish, funa isn't showing the rawness and complete depravity of these acts, she's getting off of them, which is clear in many, many of the bad endings, there is no lesson or message in mogeko castle, it is what it is

Further clarification: No, just because a new engine is better due to its versatility does not mean that RPG maker is obsolete and needs to be changed. It's fine as it is, it appeals to nostalgia and the new RPGM is fun for allowing many interesting plugins. It's enough.

Don't get me wrong, changing the engine and adding content is an improvement. RPG Maker games are generally boring outside of the story they provide because many are tedious when it comes to exploring the map.+

@kcaneko Although I honestly can't predict how DSP is going to maneuver with him in the future. You're right he's on a complicated writting point. I still feel that Licorice is somewhat unnecessary and stilted, but apart from him, the writing is not bad. I just hope she doesn't ruin it.

@kcaneko I think being consumed by his own anger and spite, to the point of putting his initial goal and the people he loves aside (his children and the angels), is what makes him a pretty decent villain because it's a realistic portrayal, just like if he hadn't done it.+
