@Moderates_Unite

Trump and the Republicans won the 2024 election on the MAGA/MAHA platform. Let’s hold our politicians accountable for delivering what they promised.

Scientific research integrity is at a crisis point. Fraud, conflicts of interest, regulatory capture and lack of accountability have produced numerous examples of “the science” being fraudulent and manipulated Scientists are not the objective observers we want them to be 🧵

Only when you drive the Cybertruck do you realize how incredible it is: a bulletproof tank that moves like a million dollar sports car! Reason for the angular shape is that the thick, ultra-hard stainless steel body panels cannot be stamped like the thin, feeble, paper-strength mild steel of other trucks. Cybertruck body panels would break 5000 ton stamping machines.
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

One of Elon's most vocal critics just bought a Cybertruck. Brian Krassenstein, who has spent years publicly clashing with @elonmusk, announced the purchase yesterday. His reason had nothing to do with politics. He has a young family and the Cybertruck is the only pickup truck in America to hold both an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award and a perfect 5-star NHTSA rating simultaneously. When your fiercest critics are buying your product because the data leaves them no choice, that's a different kind of win.

For those asking what the Church officially teaches, and who might feel confused in light of the final synod report: Marriage was instituted by God and elevated by Christ to a Sacrament. It will always and only exist in truth between one man and one woman. (Gen 2:24; Mt 19:4–6; CCC 1601) Engaging in homosexual acts, or any sexual acts outside of the marital act, is sinful. (Rom 1:26–27; 1 Cor 6:9–10; CCC 2351, 2357) Love for the person means telling them the truth, and certainly does no leave them where they are. Meeting people where they are is delicate indeed, but “go and sin no more” is also merciful and compassionate. The ministerial priesthood will only consist of men. (OS 4; CCC 1577) There is only one true Church, the Catholic Church. (LG 8; CCC 816) This is what the Church teaches and it will never change. To depart from these teachings is to depart from Christ and His Church. (Gal 1:8–9; 2 Thess 2:15) The Church will always uphold the dignity of every human person and express how loved they are by God, while also proclaiming that repentance from sin, and remaining faithful to Church teaching on marriage, Holy Orders, and the purpose of human sexuality, are essential to being faithful Catholics. (Jn 8:11; CCC 1700, 1847, 2358) You may say, “People know this, why be so blunt?” The problem is that confusion about these topics exists, and where there is confusion, crystal clear non-ambiguous language is necessary. You may say “but the synod is not seeking to change anything, but discover new ways of meeting people and make them feel less alienated.” Yet, are we concerned with souls being alienated from the Kingdom of God because we only focused on building bridges? If you build a bridge, repentance needs to be the support beams, otherwise like a house built on sand, it will collapse.

@SBTVSM @metathomist “That’s on you guys…” Not your most Christian moment As a Catholic I am sure that Jesus would count any of us as followers who follow and love Christ. There are devout Catholics and Protestants who read his word and strive daily to align their will to his …and those who do not

First of all, as I said for the millionth time, the rock that Jesus was speaking of in the Greek is the revelation he received from God that Jesus was the Christ. Either that or Jesus called Peter a girl… Secondly. The line from Peter may have been the creation of the Catholic Church. But what about all of the other apostles and all the churches that they planted? They're not part of the body of Christ? As fellow Christians can't we all come together on the things we can agree upon and get the great commission fulfilled instead of being disobedient and fighting like siblings? That's on you guys…

@farmingandJesus The division between Protestants and Catholics is old and tired. I suspect Jesus would point out that it is about our hearts, not the number of books or details of our practices, that matters And when we are threatened with secular Marxist postmodernism … we should be united

I can prove to anyone via the scriptures that Romanism isn’t biblical Christianity. No one can prove by scripture that adhering to the scriptures is incorrect.

@MikeDeHart67 @Catholic_bro The Protestant vs Catholic division is tired, old, and secular. Both can be devout followers of Christ who pray deeply and read the Bible … and both can be lukewarm followers who care more about the identify and social benefits who don’t raise their kids to worship the Lord

@Catholic_bro You are a convert so this doesn’t apply to you, but I’ve seen this consistently with cradle Catholics, especially ones raised in Catholic schools. It’s not about effort, it’s about the culture of your church. I have a hunch it’s a particularly common problem in the US.

@dmweisberger @RobertKennedyJr I had the same experience. Before going I had 3-4 migraines a week. There … no migraines in 3 weeks. Two days after landing back in the US … 3 migraines in one week I had chatGPT rate all food I ate for migraine risk. It’s helped a lot but regulations would be better

I just spent 2 incredible weeks in Italy and it is so frustrating to come back to the U.S… How is it possible @RobertKennedyJr that the Italian food supply is so vastly superior. I literally ate bread at every meal, dessert multiple times per day, and generally ate way more than I do in the U.S. Not once did I have acid reflux. Not one headache, no digestive problems, and I didn’t gain any weight. If I ate the same way in the U.S. (I used to at times) I would have gone through a full bottle of Tums and Advil just to get through the day… WHY does the U.S. allow glyphosate in wheat, high fructose corn syrup in food and who knows what in our milk products? The difference in quality of life in Italy vs the U.S. is staggering from their common sense (anti corporate) food regulation. WHY aren’t more people upset about this? The U.S. is the richest country in the world and we eat like one of the poorest.
