Applications to ERC Starter Grants were up by 24% this year. Consolidator Grants for more established researchers were also increased, though by a more reasonable 5.6%. It looks like the early career researchers are having it particularly tough with funding these days!

Great to see the first calls of Horizon Europe announced. With the first deadlines in early April it's going to be a busy month for the Starting Grant applicants.
