I absolutely LOVE The graphics man. James Mcloud looks so fcking bad ass. Anyone who’s played the N64 games know the sad backstory. No one will ever make me believe the characters look bad. They look bad ass.

Star Fox announced for Nintendo Switch 2! It's a FULL remake of Star Fox 64 with full redone graphics, new cutscenes + backstory segments, 4v4 online multiplayer, new modes and more. It launches on June 25th, 2026!

This. Is. EVERYTHING. Love love love it. So fucking excited. Would I have maybe preferred something entirely new over a 3rd pass at StarFox 64? Sure. But do I care? Hell no. Phenomenal visuals, new modes, online modes, and most importantly classic Star Fox gameplay. PERFECTION.

I'm torn. On one hand, the game looks incredible. On the other, it's a remake of Star Fox 64 - albeit with a bunch off new content and modes. They really can't find a way to escape Star Fox 64. That said, it's also kinda the perfect way to reintroduce Star Fox to the masses. And as previously said, the game looks so damn good.

@NateTheHate2 Technically was fake news as it isn't actually a new Starfox game.

@IGN I don't think I've been more disappointed about a game announcement than this. Yet another remake of 64, why couldn't we have gotten something new as graphically it looks great, such a shame.

@Stealth40k We also need to consider a new generation of users who never played the series, nintendo made a good and safe choice to introduce them with a remake of 64, and I'm pretty confident from there they will start a new series onwards!!

Star Fox 64 is still the best selling game in the series (and probably the most positively received). Even then, it took the N64 and 3DS versions combined to hit 5 million units. With the popularity of Fox from the movie, I understand why Nintendo is going back to 64.

@Stealth40k The only way this series has any chance of moving forward is if it sells. That's why the franchise keeps doing dormant, because Zero in particular flopped. With Fox's appearance in the Mario Galaxy movie still fresh in people's minds, maybe this game will have a chance.
