Men donโ€™t cry, but Jesus wept. If He had chosen nonchalance, He wouldnโ€™t have d!ed for our sins. D!!e today, youโ€™re not bigger than the Savior.

unrelated This tweet just reminded me of a story my uncle once told me. A man woke up one morning to start his tractor, only to find the battery missing. In its place was a note from a stranger apologizing, saying his car broke down and he would repay him someday. Weeks later, the man received a handwritten letter, a money order, and two tickets to the Super Bowl. Excited, he took his wife out for the game. But when they returned home, everything was gone. The house had been completely emptied, even the ceiling fans and stove. That is exactly the point of the tweet. Once you let a stranger in, even indirectly, you give them access, time, and advantage. Not every act of kindness is genuine. Some are just well-planned entry points.

๐‘ป๐’‰๐’† ๐‘บ๐’‰๐’†๐’๐’‡ ๐‘ฎ๐’‚๐’Ž๐’† Here is a music riddle. Why would a label sign twenty artists just to make sure nineteen of them never come out? Sometimes a company does not hire you because they need your talent. Sometimes they hire you so their competitor cannot have you. Your presence in the building becomes less valuable than your absence from the field. Now apply that same thinking to music. What if the opportunity you celebrated was actually your silence being purchased? From the fan side it looks like the artist fell off. People say they stopped dropping music or they lost the hype. But sometimes the truth is the label never truly believed in them. They sign artists that sound like the one they already invested millions in. Not necessarily to push them, but to control the competition. From the artist side you are stuck in a deal watching the budget, the promotion and the marketing go to someone else. You are in the studio, you are recording, you are waiting for rollout that never comes. This is what people in the industry call the shelf game. I am not saying this is exactly what is happening between Crayon , Don jazzy and Mavin Records. But when situations like this appear online and artists begin to speak about being underpaid, losing opportunities or watching others get pushed ahead of them, it reminds people that the music industry is still a business first. For any artist reading this, the only real protection is building a fan base they cannot ignore. Monetise your community. Control your releases. Make your value undeniable so nobody can quietly shelf you.
