I once saw a video that perfectly captured my definition of a good woman. It was based on an old story from Mali.
A carpenter came home one day, and his wife asked for money to buy an expensive comb for her long hair. He told her he couldn’t, he was saving to fix a broken tool he needed for work.
On his way back from work the next day, he decided to sacrifice. He sold his tool and bought the comb for her.
Excited, he got home, only to find that his wife had cut off her long hair, sold it, and bought him a new tool for his work.
I know culture and religion shape what people call a good woman. Asides from the general basics, for me, it’s simple. A woman who is willing to go as far for me as I’m willing to go for her.
Someone who puts me first, while I put her first.
