Marae have operated as important community hubs for assistance in crises. That is why many of them receive funding from the govt. The attitude below is very worrying. Any community centre or marae that receives funding to help in emergencies should not be able to turn away any NZer, especially not based on who they vote for. Never mind it is a breach of Human Rights Act & Bill of Rights Act.

New Zealand is very lucky to have the Rt. hon. Winston Peters as foreign minister. He has out negotiated China and re-established a long held relationship with the Cook Islands, which serves all the security of the Pacific and protects the Islands economic interests, including New Zealand’s. Even TVNZ gave him credit, and Barbara Dreaver was surprised at how robust the agreement is. That’s statesmanship.
