Who’s still in it for the tech? The majority of blockchains use a version of #Google's LevelDB or #Oracle’s #BerkleyDB, two open source, traditional #database designs that have not been built with crypto in mind. Rather than write their own database (like we have), most developers use a 3rd party library—easier for them, but worse for you. The more the data increases, the more their read/write speed decreases. At nexus, we decided to take the long road and create our own LLD. A side by side comparison with @Google’s LevelDB & Nexus’s LLD shows Nexus LLD is fully constant time. In other words, it doesn’t slow down as you add more data to it.
