I don’t like Powell, and I am not proud to sympathize for him, but what a terrible job that is. Just picking between a shit and shittier option while being hated every day for years and years.
I think there’s a good chance a rally fades quickly. Might see a similar but opposite day from yesterday.
It’s important to not hold short positions (or any, probably) into the weekend as there are planned tariff negotiations which could lead to positive news.
Sell the rip.
Bias for the day:
ECB and BOJ talk of doing “whatever is needed” which got the market excited at the thought of new money.
China increased tariffs, which seems to be a weaker news headline than the first.
However, time without good news is bearish.
