@CRVisuals_ Near the end he even tackled Xhaka which many haven't been able to do all season. What a boy 😅

Chris Rigg vs Newcastle He can bring what Traore could on the RW but better. What a performance this was from him. Direct, skilful and putting in some good crosses. Linked up really well with Brobbey too! Credit - Rigg11x on TikTok #SAFC

Alright, tyne-wear derby enjoyers. I need to get a metro into Newcastle for my train to London at 7:50am. Will that be possible from South Shields? Or should I just uber it?

Got a bit of flack after the Romaine Mundle situation for merely suggesting some Sunderland fans can be and are racist. The Anya Chappell video is grim. We only stamp it out by recognising it happens within our fanbase and we continue to call out the scumbags saying this shit.

@RokerReport Do you think fans have forgotten how difficult this season was supposed to be due to how well we've played? Slating players at every turn, leaving the match in droves on the 80th minute after the 3rd goal went in. It's only took half a season for us to become a spoilt prem team

@SensibleSAFC It's not just what he does on the pitch it's what he does off it. Our fan base needs a coach like him we know he's always trying to improve himself and us. Whilst he shows a calm demeanor off the pitch which keeps us the same (for the most part). Le Bris don't grow on trees

Anyone got opinions? For me, Le Bris is the man for the long term - providing he keeps us on an upward trajectory 🤔
Tony Burn@tony_burn

@SensibleSAFC I hate to play devil's advocate, but do you think he will be given another season or will he be moved on in the summer? Will a top half vs bottom half finish decide his fate ? KLD & Ghisolfi ruthless pursuit of progression. Like I say, just playing devil's advocate. 😇

Seems Ghisolfi was pretty much in charge from the moment he came, Speakman likely stuck around for continuity whilst he was transitioning to the role (very smart from us). There are a number of poorly ran champ clubs who should be in for him! Thank you for all you've done for us
Keith Downie@SkySports_Keith

🚨 BREAKING: Kristjaan Speakman has left Sunderland after 5 years at the club. 👨🏻‍💼The #SAFC Sporting Director has played an immense role in helping the club back to The Premier League from the English football’s third tier. 🇫🇷 Speakman continued in his role despite the arrival of Director of Football Florent Ghisolfi in the summer — but the club have decided to continue with solely the Frenchman. ✍🏼 Ghisolfi has led player recruitment since he arrived in July, and on the back of a successful summer £150m spend, will be handed full reign to continue his strong start…

This! I was hoping with being in the premier league playing against teams who have significantly more investment in them than us and better squads than us we would show some understanding. Bear in mind this is the first time we've lost 2 in a row against Arsenal and Liverpool 🤯

@Safcmbell Absolutely mad...I'm lucky that I'm not seeing tin foil hat wearers like that on my feed currently. Roberts seemingly doing better in there eyes than mundle... I cba to look but I bet he has less goal involvements this year then he did at the same point last year for us 🤷🏻‍♂️

@NinjaScene92 The irony of it all is that the same people who gave dogs abuse to Paddy Robert’s last season are now asking why we sold him and kept Mundle. You can’t write it.

Why do Sunderland fan choose certain players to just constantly abuse every single season. From Kevin Kilbane to Trai Hume and Mundle. Shite way to support your club #safc

@Safcmbell Agreed mate I feel like people just aren't used to not having anything to properly moan about. The players and the manager need time to grow. Playing further forward will help Humes game. Mundles season is a right off after injury he's finding his feet every minute he plays

@NinjaScene92 Aye exactly, he was by no means the worst midfielder yesterday either and Mundle done well when he came on. But even the people behind me at the SOL were just waiting in anticipation for any missed pass or mistake from them. So strange.

@UnderTheLight73 I eel like we're trying to invest in more big moment players like Angulo to help with RLBs style. I hope we persist with him and let him grow and improve. The premier league has shown you need stability and patience if not you easily become the next wolves, west ham or forrest

I’ve gave myself time to sit and think about last night and our performances overall. So this is going to be a longer couple of tweets. Please feel free to read or not, provide genuine opinion, but don’t take this as anything more than just a balanced opinion. One thing is apparent in Regis Le Bris’ play style. And it is defend first, stay in games and attack with moments of brilliance to provide the answers. There are pros and cons to this for us. Obviously, we are very very likely to stay up now, he’s done his job. Set the foundations and kept us in the league. However, the league has been so open this year, there’s a genuine chance to finish top half, maybe even sneak conference league if we pinched 8th, simply because points are close. I am not sure whether that’s the best thing for us, but my point is just if we continued with our first half of the season form, there was every possibility just on the league formation. But, our lack of attacking intent does cost us sometimes. Last night I don’t think we got going until Liverpool scored. Before that it was slow, sideways, backwards. Liverpool sat deep (as a lot of teams are against us now) giving no space. We just don’t have the answers for that. RLB doesn’t really have any main attacking patterns of play, if his wide triangles don’t work. Of course lots of teams struggle with this. Once Liverpool scored, we had a flurry, until Endo got injured. Then Liverpool relaxed again and we ‘attacked’ with minimal intent despite being 1-0 down. Moving the ball with 3/4 touches a man. Playing a pass out wide but with two passes before it gets there. Liverpool didn’t have to work to hard. Now I mentioned how a lot of teams are now defending deep against us. This is a common RLB problem. The second half of the season. First season as a coach, he had Lorient 2nd near Christmas. They ended up 10th. They got relegated the season after. I have given him the benefit regarding that as Lorient sold his best players in January. Then last year, we were contending for automatics til around January, then we slowly faded until they weren’t on anymore and we then limped to the finish line (by choice). Now this season. 19 games had us 7th, 4 points off 4th. The 7 games since then have us 15th. Our only wins against 2 sides in worse form than us. Then we’ve had 3-0 x2 and a 3-1 away defeat, a 1-1 draw with a poor spurs side and last night. The performances in these games have been very poor. Lacking energy, intent and most of all the ability to attack, bar the Burnley game and Palace second half. I am again willing to give the benefit of the doubt during this run as Arsenal and Brentford away are very tough fixtures, Liverpool at home is still a tough fixture. The anomaly results are probably spurs and West Ham (who are on a good run atm) 1/2
