I've been wanting to do something like this for a while, and I finally feel like I have all my ducks in a row, so I'm gonna do a thread of my 50 favorite albums. Intended to do fewer, but this ends up being just about all the albums I've rated 5/5 (plus 1). Away we go!

Also just got out of a rewatch of Obsession, which I think is at the 4 spot? But I’m gonna run it back in a couple hours again and write my thoughts about it down, and we’ll see how I feel after that.

Got a few likely swingers for this list yet to go, especially from last year (The Mastermind 🙏), and I took this straight from my ranked list sorted for the 20s, which inadvertently excludes Sound of Metal. Should be above Matrix Resurrections and under Decision to Leave).

Even better in the sober light of day, having had a few listens to finally really grasp it as a whole work. Probably the most holistically miserable album released by a major pop star since Back to Black (maximum amount of complimentary)
