During my mother’s working years, her workplace leaders approached her several times to develop her as a Communist Party member. My father, on the other hand, had a “bad class background” because his family were rich peasants even though he often went hungry as a child. But when I got to university, all my dorm mates wrote applications to join the Communist Party. I chose not to join. Now my parents and I live in Australia 🇦🇺.
