Animal control won't come here, and these dogs have been suffering for days now. We came here for the Golden mix who was dumped, and she's in bad shape and has to go to the emergency vet, but these two are begging for help. The mama dog, who is white, was just attacked by four loose male dogs because she's in heat. She did not want what those male dogs were trying to do to her. She was trying to get away. We'll spay her, so please don't worry about that, but she needs a foster. The puppy in Alyssa's arms is whimpering and trying to jump into her car. This is the real reality of street dog rescue; it's never black-and-white - there's always something else. We don't have a safe haven, and we don't have time or energy for negative comments. The person called animal control and they will not come out because it's outside city limits. The puppy is around six months old and we need a foster now to save her. FROM FB: Author hasn’t eaten in days. Lifesaving measures need to be taken today to save his life. He’s on injections for severe CIRD & just laying there… completely shut down. So thin. No energy. It’s bad. He’s been sick for 2 weeks and it’s only getting worse. The clinic team is now looking at his quality of life. 💔 He’s 5 years old. 51 lbs. Heartworm positive. Owner surrendered because they couldn’t care for him… and now this is where he ended up. The shelter cannot give him the level of care he needs right now. He needs emergency care if he’s going to make it. He is incredibly easy to handle — takes meds, allows everything, just leans into you. He’s not fighting anyone… he just doesn’t have anything left.
