Sonic Racing CrossWorlds seems to have flopped in Japan, opening up at 5,571 copies on Switch 1 not including digital. The PS5 version didn't chart in the top 10. Mario Kart World sold 6x more for the week (35K) The US sales for Sonic should be much better tho.
