@JohnBollman11 Would be curious how many of his stolen bases allowed this season came with this guy on the mound tho. Almost every clip was in the 1.5 range. He also takes the ball out of his glove before leg lift on every pitch.

@AllAccessNYKNYM They do and you can. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to come back if the trajectory says he can move up in the draft. Some players late-1st might be their highest projection. Too many factors and too much risk in coming back… in most cases.

You can’t tell a 1st-round pick to come back to school. You have to leave that up to him and his family. Depending on his projection, you might have to tell him to enter the draft.

Very rarely does a player live up to the preseason/spring training hype. Wilyer Abreu has done exactly that so far.

McNeeley locked up 14 million guaranteed dollars by declaring early and is likely in a better place for long term development now. Hard to say he’s made a mistake.

@sneaky_blinders @TheHoopHerald Only 30 first round picks. Last year he was 29th. This year’s draft considered to be deeper. He would be 21 on draft night, chances of first round go down significantly the older you get.

@RB1867 Agreed. Yordan Alvarez signed for 116 million after hitting 298 with 41 homers a year, playing left field and DH. Took him 171 big league homeruns, 3 all stars, a rookie of the year, and a silver slugger to get that money. So I think it’s fair to hold Anthony to high standard.

@BOSSportsGordo Brother it’s called the yips, and it’s a hell of a demon to overcome. Usually guys move to left field because they have the yips on the dirt. Nowhere else to play if you are too yipped for left field. Gonna have to be a DH and hit 300 with 35 to be worth the contract.

@ontologyofRouge @BOSSportsGordo Trust me it’s been done before. Most people aren’t yipped to the point of it being noticeable from out there, but it seems he is yipped. Also most yipped cases start from an injury so whether he’s banged up or not, missing the target by 50 feet would qualify one as being yipped.
