Have missed most of the 28 Years Later ending discourse but I’m surprised so many are disliking it for being out of left field when it was HEAVILY foreshadowed, the final culmination/tonal shift is a majorly fucking exciting direction for a sequel in this world imo

@raphael_georg @metaplexmovies Yeah, "curtain call" was also the term that came to my mind during the final scene. The cast taking a final bow before the curtain drops for the last time.

@metaplexmovies I mean.... wasn't a curtain call for the cast/main IMF crew, trying to signal that Ethan and them will always be around to save the day when the world needs?! Seemed pretty obvious. Flat and numb for a franchise finale, but obvious.

Al Pacino is probably the only person alive who is grateful he didn't win Best Actor for The Godfather Part II (and man, that's maybe my favorite single performance ever), because he attended the ceremony and kept popping valium before it was announced.

@aherman2006 Agree:( Trailers continue to be such a problem with that issue and so much of the joy of watching them is completely gone.

@VTHistory25 Even I as an 11 year-old child seeing Star Wars in 1977, I knew he started the film as a crybaby.

I don't know whether to be amused or disturbed by the number of people who seem genuinely offended that I called Luke Skywalker whiny in Star Wars. Even my 19 and 12 year old children were annoyed by how whiny he was.
