One of the best decisions I made in my career was moving from community manager to starting my own company and focusing on strategy for projects. Shaping and refining the moves a project needs to make feels way more impactful. As a CM, I depended too much on people showing up with strategy, sure you still depend on others, but a well executed plan hits way harder.
