Despite what the ruling class may tell you it's not a popular or righteous belief system. Regardless, Canadians need to ask themselves if they want to live in a society where you will be punished if you don't obey this new moral code - because that's where we're headed with other speech laws like the Online Harms Act in the pipeline. If we aren't able to push back against this then we will be told we're living in a secular society where there are no oppressive religious zealots while also being punished for not saying things like: - trans women are women - trans kids are legitimate - all vaccines are safe and effective - whites are inherently oppressive - non-whites are inherently oppressed It will amount to living in a country that has blasphemy laws just under the guise of social justice instead of a religious one. The Witch Hunts of people with the "wrong opinion" have already become common where the cancelling, firing and public shaming of individuals is the act of being burned at the stake reputationally. Very few on the Left will have the goodwill to recognize this or have the guts to call out how ridiculous social justice has become. While people on the Right need to recognize the urgency of this. These laws are infinitely more difficult to repeal once they have been passed. They start by targeting outspoken people on the fringes but always lead to attacking any normal person who effectively voices opposition to their ideology. Winning over the hearts and minds of the general public is important but just remember these social justice zealots that are activists and bureaucrats don't want to debate or have a good-faith conversation with you, they want to burn you at the stake while claiming sainthood.
