@OliverKamm @robfordmancs @kindacromulent I was just saying his claim of being censored was spurious as there are many 'reputable' right wing trade publishers. I'd count Simon and Schuster, Swift, Biteback, etc. They would fact check, but definitely wouldn't censor him. 'Censorship' all part of the grift of course

@Pascal_Pub @robfordmancs @kindacromulent Probably, but I’m referring specifically to trade publishers, who sell books to readers through physical or virtual bookshops and wish to make a profit. They’d have spotted eg Goodwin’s spurious quotes. And it’s shocking, if not surprising, that he’s done this.

@DrMatthewSweet @andytwelves Sadly, Matt knows his audience. He will use this justified critique of his research method to create a censorship furore, which will drive sales of his drek :(

Strong Naomi Wolf energy here. @andytwelves is factchecking the book and finding evidence it's littered with AI hallucinations. Fake quotes from Hayek and Roger Scruton. Those aren't cherries, they're errors - some with the Chatgpt urls attached. Did this book have an editor?
Matt Goodwin@GoodwinMJ

The Left are having a meltdown about Suicide of a Nation -- cherry-picking, misrepresenting, and hate-bombing the Amazon reviews. Why? Because they think they own and control the public debate. Their default mode whenever a book/thinker comes along that dismantles their worldview is to try & discredit it and attack the person, not the argument. Only, it won't work this time. There is a reason Suicide of a Nation is Number 3 on Amazon and it's struck a chord with so many. Because people see through the gaslighting and want to be told THE TRUTH about what is really happening to THEIR OWN COUNTRY, and their own people. Everything in this book is based on official, UK census data and the very same projections that are used by the Office for National Statistics and expert demographers. Every single person who knows the data knows that everything in this book is correct - even if they would rather you not know about it, or talk about it. The Left don't want you to read it, they don't want you to know what is in this book, because they do not want you to know what is happening around you. They do not want you to know the truth. Which is why they work overtime to try and deflect & discredit anything that challenges their worldview. "Is it really true what you say about this one school?", they ask, knowing full well it is. "Should we really care about the fact that some 5 million people in England cannot speak English or do not speak it as their main language?", they ask, knowing full well this is a major problem. They are constantly trying to gaslight you. It really is that simple. I worked in the universities for 20 years; I saw the strategy up close. Only, unlike others I refuse to be pushed aside. I refuse to let them dominate the public debate. Which, by the way, is why I did not want this book to be published by a mainstream publisher. I could easily have gone down this road, having written two national bestsellers. But I knew they would censor what I say, they would try to control and narrow the debate. This is why I deliberately stepped outside the narrow, stifling Groupthink, the Overton Window. And this is why Suicide of a Nation is now selling out - everywhere. So here's a challenge. Ignore the losers on the Left who are trying to control and censor you once again, read it for yourself, and make up your own mind. Matt amazon.co.uk/Suicide-Nation…

@robfordmancs @kindacromulent I did note Goodwin’s comment that he self-published lest his work be censored - which makes no sense at all. My limited experience is that a reputable trade publisher will save you from numerous errors & non sequiturs. And it’s obvious Goodwin would have benefited from scrutiny.

Losing a member of the family is always tough (& even if it's expected, it can still be a shock), but it’s especially painful when you lose a son or daughter. Sadly, I know, and I had a profound discussion with grief expert Julia Samuels at: bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0… 01.35 mins in

@joshxhowie 'The bad people parasitically feeding off the LGB'--I'm afraid this is not the statement of someone who has read about the history of gay rights, or with any understanding of how sexual identities come into being. By your own admission, this isn't really your area

Okay, dinner’s in the oven and I’ve got a bit of time. It’s been a few days, and no one from the ‘LGBTQ+ community’ has been able to prove that the Q+ does not contain the category of bestiality. So I shall now prove that it does. BUT, before I do, I’d like to make a few points. The first is, to be honest this topic isn’t exactly my top priority or passion or subject of expertise. There’s a lot of mental stuff going on in the world, this started because I made a flippant joke on telly about the dodgy perverts existing in the Q+, which was born of evidence I’d seen from LGB voices who didn’t want to be associated with the rest of the alphabet. So I knew there was no universally accepted dentition of Queer, about who’s included, who not included, and that it was this loophole that bad actors had exploited as a wedge to insert themselves. Of course it’s a lot more difficult to accuse proud gay people of homophobia, but a straight guy not so much, which is precisely why the Q+ latched onto the LGB, to throw out accusations of homophobia when under external scrutiny. After it all kicked off though, I took a deeper look, and it was actually worse than I thought. I also understood more why so many LGB voices are desperate to break away from the Q+, because they can clearly see how this forced pairing will increasingly bring harm to gay people. I also came to understand that whilst this might be seen as an internal matter, it’s also important for straight people to speak up, regardless of accusations of homophobia. Partly because of safeguarding, partly if you genuinely support gay rights, and mostly because this is the fault of straight perverts latching onto hard fought LGB rights for their own legitimisation. (As well as some straight people who think dyeing your hair blue is a substitute for personality). And so it is that straight people also need to be part of the solution calling this out, it’s not fair just leaving it to the LGB. And things are potentially about to get worse, because the Green Party, who are presently polling second in the UK, are now pushing the broader and unquantifiable umbrella term of ‘Queerphobia.’ Having this conversation will no doubt be determined ‘queerphobic.’ The end point is that any safeguarding from sexual perverts will face the same accusation. Final point before bestiality. I appreciate that there are some gay and bi men and women, particularly younger ones, who see themselves not as LGB, but as part of the ‘LGBTQ+’ community. This is partly brainwashing, partly admirable qualities like kindness and inclusiveness. Just as there are women who genuinely believe men can become women, and assiduously ignore the harm this does to women’s rights. And it’s tough admitting you were wrong, especially if your ego as a good person is under threat. Anyway, you might take this post as an attack, but it’s not directed at you. But that doesn’t absolve of using your brain. Right then, proof the Q+ includes bestiality. I don’t actually need to provide any proof. Q and + are open-ended terms. There is no fixed definition, and as such any sexual category can identify into it, even make believe ones. But I will give you proof, because I’m a good guy. There is a book called ‘Loving Animals.’ You can buy it at Waterstones. London Review of Books positively reviewed it, directly praising the author’s central argument that “sexual interaction between human and nonhuman animals needn’t be abusive.” The author, a British Academy Fellow and Professor at Birbeck, identifies as ‘queer.’ The book has been published under the umbrella of ‘Queer Studies.’ So. Still want to claim bestiality has nothing at all to do with the Q? Still want to turn a blind eye to the bad people parasitically feeding off the LGB? Still happy to be a proud member of the ‘LGBTQ+ community’? Fine. But know that includes horse fuckers. LGB. Without the TQ+.
Josh Howie@joshxhowie

I’ve had a few people identifying as part of the ‘LGBTQ+ community’ insist that pedophiles are definitely not included as a sexual orientation, even though the Q+ is open-ended, which means by definition it has no limitations. I appreciate pedophilia is a very emotive category, so let’s take it down a notch. I challenge anyone who identifies as part of the ‘LGBTQ+ community’ by which I really mean the ‘Q+ community’ to prove that the Q definitely does not contain bestiality, aka, the fucking of animals. And I shall prove it does.

A rather scary read... and a repeat of what we saw in Gaza. "As planning for a potential strike in Iran was underway, Maven, powered by Claude, suggested hundreds of targets, issued precise location coordinates, and prioritized those targets according to importance, said two of the people. The pairing of Maven and Claude has created a tool that is speeding the pace of the campaign, reducing Iran’s ability to counterstrike and turning weeks-long battle planning into real-time operations, said one of the people. The AI tools also evaluate a strike after it is initiated, the person said." washingtonpost.com/technology/202…

If you've ever heard someone claim that assisted dying is 'playing God', this clip (from LBC Radio) shows why they really do not understand how faith works. They can still be against assisted dying, but should not do so in God's name anymore.
