American Healthcare While my experience at @PatientFirst was amazing, here is a tale of American healthcare management. I was prescribed meds for pneumonia. My pharmacy closes at 8pm and it was 740 when I left urgent care. I asked them to switch the Rx to the closer 24 hour pharmacy across the street. I verified three times that the prescriptions were redirected to the 24 hour pharmacy. I left and went to the pharmacy. However, when I arrived the Rx hadn’t transferred electronically yet. I waited for about 30 minutes and the pharmacist said it was lost somewhere. At this point the urgent care was closed, so I wouldn’t have been able to contact them. I went home and bought a Primatine emergency inhaler. I went to the urgent care on 5/31. I am covered under my wife’s insurance. She changed employers and benefits became effective 6/1. My wife went to the pharmacy to pick up the prescriptions this morning and since it is now June first we had to pay over $100 out of pocket for prescriptions that were written on the date the policy was effective. I never considered how much our lives are controlled by having healthcare connected to employment.

@PatientFirst walked in to the silver spring location yesterday and Dr. Morales told me I need a Brain CT stat. I go get it done, called an hour later to check on the results and told that I will be called when they come in. I got the results from the imaging center but no call

@PatientFirst Waited in the room at the Odenton location! Dr Zhu came in. Tried to show her the prescription I was given the last time, which helped me. She snatched it from my hand threw it in my bag! SO RUDE!! Then she denied it. HOW DID IT END UP IN MY BAG

@ashley_ward_ BMI is used as an indicator of potentially unhealthy weight for many & as our slip explains your BMI may differ due to your level of fitness or other factors. Patient First recognizes the information isnt all encompassing but is good baseline advice for the general population.

Hi @PatientFirst are you kidding me? Are you unaware that more than 10k people die every year as a direct result of an eating disorder? This is…awful. Please do better. Or at the very least—do NOTHING. This is SO unnecessary. Unhelpful at best, & deadly at worst.
