This is how they described the parish in comments on the Facebook version of the post from June 15.
They added that the demands are ultra high, that parishioners “do suffer for the outward beauty that everyone relishes,” and that inward qualities such as joy, dynamism, and charity are absent.
Responses from his followers to the post have largely consisted of aggressive personal attacks rather than addressing what was actually written, behavior typical of loyalty to a figure rather than to The Truth.
While only one such account is shared here publicly, similar reports, both public and private, continue to surface.
These patterns reflect the behavior of a movement centered on the promotion of a single figure, where loyalty is directed toward the man rather than to Christ.
In the Orthodox Church, the priest is not the center but a hidden servant and fellow patient in the hospital of the Church, called to direct the faithful not to himself, but to Christ, the true Physician, within the local eucharistic community under its bishop.

☦️ The fallout from "The Theater of Digital Orthodoxy" appears to be causing a fracture. Since the essay dropped on Substack on May 24 (now ~80,000 reads across platforms), the online Orthodox ecosystem is buckling. 1. @JayDyer announced June 8 that "the time of online theology debate for [him] has come to a close." 2. @PageauJonathan revealed his bishop instructed him to "steer away from apologetics online." 3. @SabaIsper issued public statements mirroring the core criticisms of the text. 4. Meanwhile @PatristicNectar (Fr. Josiah Trenham), the SoCal transplant formerly known as "Brad", who came into Orthodoxy through the Mt. Shasta ethos of alternative spirituality, remains trapped in the English-speaking bubble. Unable to speak a lick of a living language of the global Orthodox Church, he relies instead on a synthetic accent to perform an Old World tradition he can't actually converse in. He only visits truly Orthodox countries long enough for photo ops. There, the rich generational faithful would eat him alive if he stayed longer. Lacking the formation of an Orthodox seminary, his Calvinist-flavored product can't survive in the real Orthodox world. It exists to be consumed in digital spaces, attracting a high-turnover demographic of young, disenfranchised American males to an "Orthodoxy that is not the real one." Even while trying to look casual in a t-shirt, apparently dialing back the hyper-Orthodox aesthetic after the article hit, he forgot to drop the stage voice. Elizabeth Holmes would blush. The inverted missionary accidentally still in character. For some, the theater continues.
