The best ideas I have ever heard came from people I disagreed with at the time. They were ahead of me. Plus #bitcoin

@bitharington @100trillionUSD @nsquaredcrypto Good day to remind everyone that Bitcoin Solved Byzantine Generals A lot of really smart people and technologists thought cancer would be cured before Byzantine Generals problem solved. Some thought it impossible Bitcoin is new. Not just better youtu.be/dfsRQyYXOsQ

@SimplyBitcoin Curious What was the difference in actual transactions between the blocks in the split? How many transactions weren’t included in the “losing” blocks were sent back to the mem pool, and how many of them were locked up in the next block ?

Bitcoin just had a 2-block reorg and people are going to misunderstand this. This isn’t a bug. It’s the system working. Foundry and AntPool/ViaBTC were mining competing chains at the same time. Foundry extended theirs first → their chain wins. The other two blocks? Deleted from history. No payout. Bitcoin doesn’t care who you are. Most work wins. Every time.

@JenniferSey This was all hidden in plain sight I believe (could be wrong) definition was modified on Sept 1 and Mandate issued on Sept 9
Pi Prime Pi@PiPrimePi

@sailorrooscout This is simply inaccurate. The CDC had to modify the definition of vaccine and vaccination in September 2021 to continue referring to them as “vaccines” or “vaccinations”.

@JasonPLowery And we are now full circle back to the fundamental premise of Hash Cash. In a virtual world, something has to cost something. I didn't understand Bitcoin until I read Dr. Back's Hash Cash White paper, which was referenced in Satoshi's White Paper hashcash.org/papers/hashcas…

It was only a matter of time. Though it took longer to drain the Reverse Repo Facility than I expected, the result remains the same: With the government running multi-trillion dollar deficits, once the RRF slush fund is drained, the ability for the Fed to reduce its balance sheet is nullified, and the Treasury's need for additional liquidity must come from somewhere. And that 'where' is, in fact, the Fed again. As predictable as a tide that goes out and comes back in, the Fed must print again.

@LawrenceLepard 100% - I created a graphic to try and depict the issue to people that aren't as familiar with Fed Charts As you can see, it's not just the increase, it's the trend of increasing slopes of the increases If trend continues, it methodically approaches 90 degrees vertical

Lawrence Lepard, "fix the money, fix the world"
Make no mistake about it, the Fed did not want to do this. They were mathematically forced to do this. As my old pinned Tweet used to show, you cannot grow debt at a faster rate than GDP without adding to the money supply. It was not hard to see or predict. Some of us have been warning of this for a long time.

That's a killer. Shorthanded too. Flyers were in complete control, and now Florida is right back in it entering the final period. No easy wins against this club.

If it was as easy to set up an effective email server as it is to set up an effective Bitcoin node, the world would be a different place. Not enough people realized what the centralization of convenient email would do. I should've known. Dumb Let's not make the same mistake.

I can see why the Flyers drafted. Jack Nesbitt. He's been a player. The Flyers have been craving for years, a bigger guy, that has a hard nose for the puck. He actually drives the play, and that's another good attribute for this young Flyers team #Flyers

@BitcoinzC @mikealfred No one banged the drum on Celsius louder and more consistently than him. No one. Months in advance. Not weeks, not days, months. Saved a lot of people’s money.

Shout out to @mikealfred. Didn’t always like him lol. He blew the horn loud when Celsius was collapsing and I didn’t listen. Almost blamed him for my losses ($$$) for tweeting it into fruition. Now his knowledge has helped earn most of it back $cifr $iren #bitcoin 🙏

You will be born into a jurisdiction You will be considered a citizen of the jurisdiction You will use the money of that jurisdiction They can print the money All of us, and everyone to follow I love NGU, but let's not forget the scope of what is happening. NGU is the bait.

With all the Core vs Knots debates happening (which are good) PSA: If Bitcoin fails, every human being from this point forward will live in a world where they will expend their effort for money that their jurisdiction can print No one will ever have an option. No one, ever.

@TheProjectUnity Single most interesting part of this (I remember the cornucopia) is that this such a unique specific thing & everyone agrees that it was this exact cornucopia Wasn’t bigger, smaller, on the other side. Not only do people remember it, but everyone only remembers this specific 1

@CaitlinLong_ @CGasparino Amazes me how many, intelligent, successful people I know don't grasp the gravity & precedent of what was done This was the slipperiest of slippery slopes Add in Social Media AI scores & oh how this could have been so much worse 20 years ago the ACLU would've had a meltdown

The lowest hashed number ever found to mine a bitcoin block occurred in 2022 ~5,760,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (5.76 followed by 48 zeros) To put this number into perspective: If you were to spend $38 trillion (US National Debt) per second It would take ~350 quadrillion times the age of the universe to reach the smallest number ever hashed in the Bitcoin Network

@LukeGromen As the Fed Turns - turning into an old school daytime Soap Opera Fun Fact - The term "Soap Opera" was used because companies targeted housewives with commercials for soap, detergent etc. As the World Turns was actually created/produced by Procter & Gamble Productions

@jameslavish Agree The challenge is the fine line between "tighten up the data" and manipulate the data Would require a lot of transparency Another example of how ridiculous it is for global capital markets to be so bound to Govt Data, Fed Actions and specific words used in speeches

@PiPrimePi From what I have seen about how the surveys are conducted and by who, there are plenty of improvements we could make to 'tighten up the data' a bit. But hey, close enough for government work.

Good morning. Today’s jobs report and large downward revisions shows how ‘actual’ economic data is severely lagging. And, as Powell himself has warned, the Fed often lags the lag. Buckle in, and… Have a great day.
