PSA: The only reason Army is on ND’s schedule is because The U backed out of playing Notre Dame at the 11th hour. The schedule ease is a result of Miami ducking Notre Dame.

water company in town is going around and ripping up 6x6 foot holes in people's front yards to check meters when they got to my house I told them, "No thanks. Don't touch my lawn please." they were genuinely shocked but then admitted that we don't have to let them do it

Gambling addictions are real. So are NCAA rules that protect the integrity of competition. A Texas Judge should uphold the permanent ineligibility of Brendan Sorsby. Column for @espn espn.com/college-footba…

Like many people across broader society, when you’re too online you lose touch with the broader world and struggle to escape from a distorted reality.

🚨👀⛳️ #BREAKING — Bryson DeChambeau says he is prepared to pursue his YouTube channel’s growth and compete in tournaments “that want me” if LIV Golf folds, adding that he has had conversations with the PGA Tour. “I think, from my perspective, I'd love to grow my YouTube channel three times, maybe even more.” “I'd love to do a bunch of dubbing in different languages, giving the world more reason to watch YouTube. And then I'd love to play tournaments that want me.” He admitted that the potential penalties he would face from the PGA Tour would be “quite unfortunate in my opinion, considering what I could do for them.” “I was completely shocked (on PlF pullout), I didn't expect it to happen. A couple months before that, it's like, 'We're here until 2032. We've got financing until 2032, and so I told everybody, and that's what I was told.” “And then, you know, I haven't had any communication. And unfortunately, things are moving on in a different direction. Obviously, they wanted to move.” "There's a few different models (on LIV future). Look, the PGA Tour isn't doing great either. Let's be honest about the situation. They've got the media.” “They've got everybody on the side that helps pump it up. But they're reducing field sizes, cutting employees, and restructuring their business too.” @BrysonLegion (Via: @espn)

Imagine building your entire philosophy of life and personal brand around Tolkien… without knowing English. It wouldn’t make sense, would it? You’d call that person a fraud, a grifter. Yet somehow, when it comes to Greco-Roman authors, people think they can get away with it.
Roman Helmet Guy@romanhelmetguy

Ryan Holiday isn’t some Stoic guru btw. He’s been doing this for a dozen years and never even bothered to learn Latin or Greek. He made $10 million reading the Stoics in translation then repeating what they say at a 5th grade reading level to sell self-help books at the airport.

Seems like a good thing for the player.. good money & closer to a degree. Also, what happens to a Day 3 pick that returns to school? The players don’t disappear… they’re available to be drafted in the future. The implication that this weakens the draft in perpetuity is absurd.
