@NoushardMUFC I would sign Bruno now, consider Tonali later. Sign Bruno+Anderson we have a proper midfield.

Tonali and Bruno. Same midfield. Different DNA. Tonali is an 8. High engine. High volume. At Milan and NUFC, he averaged around 10+ km per game. Presses relentlessly. Wins the ball back. Carries it forward. Progressive passes. Late runs into the box. He sets tempo with movement. Bruno Guimarães is a 6. Deeper. Colder. More control. At Newcastle, he averages more touches, more passes, and more ball recoveries in deeper zones. He screens the back line. Breaks play. Dictates from the base. The last line before the defence. Tonali moves the game. Bruno anchors it. Both are versatile. Both can step into each other’s roles. But their instincts don’t lie. Here’s the reality: elite 8s are everywhere. True 6s are rare. If you’re building a midfield, you secure the spine first. That’s Bruno. Find your 8 later. Because Newcastle won’t sell both anyway.

🔴Bruno Guimarães edging ahead of Tonali for United? Shortlist puts Bruno G as the top target, with agent talks confirmed and talks progressing around £69m. Younger options like Tonali (£100m) and Elliot Anderson are still being considered. Bruno’s experience and proven Premier League quality could transform the midfield instantly as United push for top four. Casemiro is reportedly backing his compatriot too, though Tonali remains highly rated. Big summer coming… Bruno or Sandro?

@TheeloHim12 @NoushardMUFC What's the fuss about Baleba? Especially after the season he's had. Had 1 good season, 1 average in his stint in England. Not convincing enough! We don't need potential, we need someone to come and start performing

Man United reinforcing the midfield, looking good. I would gladly pay £60m for 28 yo Bruno Guimaraes to replace the 33yo Casemiro who is departing at the end of the season. If we secure this signing early in the window, then the next focus becomes Elliott Anderson/Angelo Stiller type signing.

@The_Franklin_st @badasskachii I thought sell the clauses is on the 'sales' contract. that's an independent document from the player contract. As such, unless it's stated to be valid for a certain period, the sell on clause remains active. Even if utd were to sign him, we are still getting a 20% discount

@Blesing_Andrew Michael was described as being too rigid, at his previous club. I don't see him changing. It's a trait that makes me think twice about his candidature

🔴"Dear Michael Carrick,As a loyal United fan, I have to say it: Bryan Mbeumo is a shadow of the player who lit up early under you. No goals in his last 5+ games, poor touches, missed chances: he's struggling badly up front. He's a natural right winger, thrives running at defenders, not leading the line. Drop him for a bit or shift him wide to his best position before the form dip hurts the team more. We need the old Mbeumo back. Please reconsider. Open letter from a concerned Red.

@Hosang Those two arguments can be true. See, Utd certainly need players, now and even needed under Amorim. I personally wanted Amorim out because the squad was better than his performances.

All of the “Amorim Out” brigade look silly when you say United now needs two new fullbacks to go along with two new midfielders… Maybe the players should be platformed better?

@EverydayMUFC22 Utd are playing fewer games, so performances look better. Compared to his predecessor, Carrick is doing well. but with this squad and schedule, that should be the baseline. The tactical and squad gaps are real and need fixing. Manchester United shouldn’t stick with him long term.

Every match I watch I see holes in the squad. So many players needed for increasing the quality/availability of the squad but also providing more tactical solutions But still Michael Carrick has us in 3rd place. No doubt about it, he’s been incredible

🚨 Man Utd U-turn incoming? They've reopened Casemiro discussions & now see him as a key option again! But any extension hinges on cutting his wages for the wage bill reset. Should we keep him on reduced terms? Yes – his experience is gold! 🔴 No – time for fresh blood [Via @rtiesporte]

50 years old James Milner is benching Baleba in a serious game against Liverpool. Manchester United should stay far away from this guy even if Brighton are willing to sell him at a half price.

🚨 JUST IN: Manchester United are reconsidering their plans to allow Casemiro to leave the club at the end of the season following his impressive resurgence in form. Although his contract runs until June 2026, this turnaround has prompted internal discussions about a potential renewal, though any negotiations would likely require a reduction from his current £350,000 weekly wage as part of broader squad cost adjustments. ❌️ FAN VIEW | Man Utd about to hand Kobbie Mainoo £120k/week? Nah, that's madness. Kobbie is solid but not world-class yet. Compare him to similar young midfielders: ● Elliot Anderson (Forest): £40k/wk ● Adam Wharton (Palace): £35k/wk ●Carlos Baleba (Brighton): ~£14-15k/wk (low end for his tier) Mainoo's good, but not £120k good. United inflating wages again – same old story!

@RealistGlizzy We have bigger priorities with midfield,LW,LB and another striker if zirkzee leaves, might have to go with what we have at CB, maybe go for someone cheap or on loan for depth depending on what the situation is with de light then

Now that Yoro has gotten more regular minutes and Maguire's contract is basically sorted, what's everyone's position on signing a CB this summer? Licha and De Ligt regular injuries in mind asw, think we need someone like Schlotterbeck if available

🚨🚨| Michael Carrick needs to show greater belief in the rest of the squad. Young players like Zirkzee, Ugarte, and Heaven have clear potential to develop and improve—just as we've seen with Dorgu, Casemiro, and Bruno Fernandes. Trust them to deliver, and they will produce results.
