A Somali family in Minnesota stole $5.6 million dollars from taxpayers and only gets 6 MONTHS in jail The family has a restaurant and claimed to serve 1.7 meals, it was all fraud The family gets to KEEP THE MONEY and only gets 6 months in jail - They falsely claimed to have served enormous numbers of meals to children, 1.7 million in one year from a small restaurant - The family as a whole stole over $5.6 million in federal child nutrition funds • The daughter Zamzam Jama was sentenced to 6 months in prison (plus forfeiture of her house, car, and $150,000 in bank accounts, with an additional $400,000 restitution ordered) However, the vast majority of the money stolen in the Jama family Restaurant fraud has not been fully recovered @Brookerteejones “Would you go to prison for six months if you could have $5.6 million?
