The Trap
Eight to eight, the hours drain
another man's dream, another man's gain.
You fill his pockets while yours stay light,
drag yourself home in the dead of night.
Too tired to build, too broke to quit,
caught in the space where visions split:
two days of savings, three months to grow,
but the math won't let you take the leap, you know.
Some call it nine-to-five,
but we know better. We barely survive.
Eight-to-eight, or five-to-nine
when distance swallows your precious time.
They say there's freedom in the digital air,
blockchain promises dancing everywhere
but strip the jargon, peel back the hype:
is Web3 liberation, or the same old type?
Decentralized chains, centralized pain,
just the nine-to-five in a different name.
So here's the question, raw and deep:
How do you wake from this working sleep?
How do you break what's designed to hold?
How do you turn your time to gold?
