@ProxorBulba @NASA @NASAArtemis You have that backwards. Time slows down as you approach the speed of light so they're aging would have slowed down. We would be older than them

@inertstellar @mathsboi42 That’s right yeah. 99% of the overall time dilation comes from being “outside” of earths gravity well.
They were not going merely fast enough for speed to have a larger effect than gravity here :)

@ProxorBulba @mathsboi42 but doesn't travelling at higher speed cause then to age slower compared to earth?
or is it that effects of gravitational time dilation in moon's weaker gravity is more than the time dilation due to speed?

it’s funny that they all look older now under gravity

The astronauts. Their ride around the Moon. The Artemis II astronauts pose for a group photo after viewing their Orion spacecraft — which they named Integrity — in the well deck of USS John P. Murtha following their splashdown.

@ProxorBulba I’m sure they feel that half millisecond with every step

@inigogmez Fugayzi, fugazi. It's a whazy. It's a woozie. It's fairy dust. It doesn't exist. It's never landed. It is no matter. It's not on the elemental chart. It's not fucking real.
