The inflexibility of old blockchains is the biggest obstacle to quantum resistance The monolithic architecture of 1st and 2nd generation blockchains means there's just one single chain where every piece of data gets recorded. These networks are already struggling with congestion, high fees, and low throughput. Now imagine trying to upgrade them to post-quantum cryptography. The algorithms are much heavier → transaction sizes balloon → network load skyrockets → the blockchain simply comes to a halt. ❌ You can't just swap out the cryptography in old blockchains. It's a complex, slow process. In some cases, it's impossible without shutting down the entire network. Cellframe, however, is built on L0 architecture with multiple chains. QuantumEVM.com test net is live. We had to redo the memory architecture of EVM to also become quantum safe. 20 byte addresses derived from private-> public -> hash are okay, but hash+nonce-> address is a much much smaller quantum circuit. It is also 65% likely to 160 bit birthday attack when using the current BTC hash power. so future proofing required 32 byte addresses. This applies only partially to BTC, but is devastating to EVM addresses.
