The nurse originally from New York was celebrating the New York Knicks first NBA championship in 53 years when police arrived and told her to put the dog away but it escaped and approached the officers. Marseille said Jameson was not baring his teeth growling or aggressive and was just moving toward the officer when the next thing she knew the dog was lying on the ground after being shot. Viral footage showed Marseille sobbing over her dogs body screaming the Knicks just won a championship we were just so happy we were just trying to celebrate the Knicks as a dozen cops stood by. A GoFundMe titled Justice for Jameson to cover justice efforts and cremation fees has raised more than $80,000 with supporters describing the dog as the sweetest boy in the world. The incident has sparked outrage online with calls for accountability after the preliminary LAPD report claimed the dog charged the officer during the response to the noise complaint.
