@FAmmiranteTFJ I was pulling for Senegal but that was a clear penalty
English

@notaburner4486 @SkylarSkye3 That’s fair- I was just speaking aesthetics. And both are exceptional stadiums
English

@RBateman1111 @SkylarSkye3 US bank looks nice but MBS is the best due to more than just architecture, one of those things is concession pricing
English

@thisiswhatsup5 @SkylarSkye3 God forbid someone has a different taste in stadiums 😅
English

@RBateman1111 @SkylarSkye3 This is the dumbest thing I’ve read today lol
English

@McT8zrsrq7zx @Theberni250 I believe 3 MLS teams play in their NFL stadiums, including Atlanta which was the stadium in the pic.
English

@Theberni250 see as an american I rather visit that stadium and watch a game. Also it’s worth noting MLS teams don’t play in these stadiums lol only NFL
English

Look at the view in America 🇺🇸, then compare it to the view in England 🏴. You'd never guess which country has the richer football heritage.
Remember when people in Europe said letting America host the World Cup was a mistake? 😅
America is already living in 2050...

@StanUsmnt @Eyesandvibes Algeria scored and there was a celebration that lasted over a minute. That always gets added on
English

@Eyesandvibes Did you watch that 5 min? Was there time waste? I honestly just didn’t see it.
It’s so arbitrary.
English

@HaimLalisho @zDamascus If the attacking team has the skill to send a player when only 10% of their body is onside, more power to them. But that is very difficult to do
English

@RBateman1111 @zDamascus Nah, this would make defending impossible... good luck catching up to those winger speedsters when they are already 90% past you when the pass happens.
English

The infinite discourse comes back so it's time to remind people that if you change how offsides are decided, you are simply making another arbitrary limit up, and when the player will be 0.1mm away from that limit, you will also say "this is stupid!!!"
Just accept the rule lol
ESPN FC@ESPNFC
Colombia was this close to a game-winning goal 🤯
English

@savanah2j Soccer players and fans are the main ones driving the conversation. VAR calling offsides down to the centimeter is a new thing and the soccer world largely believes is against the spirit of the offsides rule
English

@vakeel55 @AlexiLalas Way way overblown, in pro sports teams always travel in right before and leave rigth after a match. Tiajuana was 45 minute flight from their first two games, and they were able to come in 2 days before their last match in Seattle.
English

@RBateman1111 @AlexiLalas What about the travel restrictions. Come on man.
English

Iran’s problem wasn’t the format, it’s that they couldn’t win a group game.
AM@TB12FAN4EVER
@AlexiLalas Bogus ending to the group stages. FIFA messed up with the format and Iran was hard done by.
English

@vakeel55 @AlexiLalas They were all the right call based on the current rule and enforcement. I think the rule should be changed where at least a majority of a players body needs to be offside. But it was not unfair enforcement against Iran
English

@AlexiLalas Trump lost the war and took it out on Team Melli. The team couldn’t arrive 2 days before games and had to leave right after. Then they had 2 goals taken away by VAR, including an extra time game winner against Egypt. So “they couldn’t win a group game” lacks important context.
English

@Fionnlagh1974 @PatsKam Relative to their competition, yes. But in a H2H the men would win 20+ - 0 if they went all out
English

@PatsKam So officially, American women are better than American men.
English

@ChinaTeacher1 I disagree. In the case where a toe keeps the player onside, the goal stands. Having a goal disallowed on a technicality is significantly worse than allowing a close goal to stand
English

@jupitersjoy @jacksonhinkle If anything Australia v Paraguay should be looked into. Algeria and Austria both played to win in an incredible 3-3 game
English

@jacksonhinkle Hold Algeria 🇩🇿 and Austria 🇦🇹 accountable too for their rigged game
English

@olumidetheeel @SidKhurana3607 Korea was perplexing. Its as if the coach thought 3 points was enough and sat back their last 2 games. I hope they don't qualify for the round of 32.
English

@SidKhurana3607 Trend for Asian teams on this tournament. Korea and Saudi both likely need just one to go through and seemingly had no interest in getting it. Odd performances.
English

End result was 0-0, Cape Verde played like the better team the whole game, had many chances. Impressive for them to get to knockout round, Argentina will be tough to beat.
Not sure was Saudi was doing, they knew they had to win but played with no urgency.
Siddharth Khurana@SidKhurana3607
At the Cape Verde-Saudi Arabia game. A decent amount of Cape Verdeans and Saudis, but the most common jersey is Mexico lol
English

@chrisdigiusto They already passed them on goals scored tiebreak I believe
English

@ColinUdoh They just passed South Korea on the goals scored tiebreaker
English

@BouafifNour I think Senegal v Iraq may be the better match. Senegal has to all out for goals, and Iraq is playing for pride.
English

@Alan_Covington @mitchellvii This is a really bad take, and its clear you are way to obsessed with politics. Yes its Boston, NYC, Seattle, but also Texas, Florida, Missouri and the rural areas in between for the many fans who are taking road trips. This is not political, its about America being a great host
English

Liberal cities are rocking the World Cup. It’s America 250 for the real patriots, unlike Trump’s third rate DC ‘celebrations’.
Liberal America has successfully kept MAGA stink far away from our WC competition, just like commish Manfred acted decisively to keep the MAGA stink out of MLB.
And the visitors love it!

🇺🇸 🇬🇧 BREAKING: WORLD CUP BRITS IN SHOCK!
Brits visiting America for the first time during the World Cup are in awe and openly apologizing to Americans.
"We owe America a huge apology," one English fan said. "America is nothing like the media tells us. Everyone is so friendly, so accommodating, and I have had the best time."
From Texas hospitality and massive stadium energy to stunning architecture and genuine warmth, these visitors are discovering what many already know: America is an incredible country full of kind people and unforgettable experiences.
Seeing it with their own eyes is changing minds worldwide. Welcome to the truth!
