REC Market Meeting

The 11th edition of the REC Market Meeting ended with the final Keynote session which provided a lively debate that highlighted the potential of switching from voluntary to compliance mechanisms and how such regulatory pressure may impact the buying and selling of renewables.

The 2nd day of the REC Market Meeting 2023 began bright and early, with sessions starting at 09:00. Session 7B, "Global volumes and prices - where are markets heading?" focused on the growing, global I-REC Market offering more in-depth details on market trends and expectations.

Last evening was the RMM2023 dinner party offered to registered delegates by @CerQlar. The dinner was attended by over 450 registered delegates. The dinner party took place at Strandzuid in Amsterdam and delegates enjoyed a buffet-style dinner and drinks. #recs #rmm2023

Today's schedule included session 2b: I-REC Expansion - what is the future of these standardised markets? This session, Enam Akoetey-Eyiah of The International REC Standard Foundation (I-REC Standard Foundation), Sherwin Das of Energy Peace Partners, and Jen Wee KANG of REDEX.

The 11th edition of the REC Market Meeting has kicked off with the opening Keynote session: Maximizing renewable opportunities - how to get more from markets. This session was focused on the insufficient climate and energy targets in the EU and other parts of the world.
