Congratulations to MBB's DeAndre Lewis, MACCC Player of the Week! #PR1DE Lewis averaged 24.5 pts and 9.5 rebs during the Lions' 1-1 week, while shooting 47% from the field, 58% from behind the three-point arc and 71% from the charity stripe. He began the week recording a double-double at 15th-ranked Jones with a game-high 27 pts, 11 rebs and 2 steals against the Bobcats. Lewis capped the week by approaching another double-double with a team-high 22 pts, 8 rebs and 2 steals during EMCC's 83-56 home win over SMCC. He joins Diovion Famakinde and Jordan Alexander as EMCC's trio of POTW selections this basketball season.

JC: 6’5 sophomore guard DeAndre Lewis of Revocruit Powered East Mississippi CC delivered a strong 31-point performance with 5 assists, shooting 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and 11-for-14 from the field in a 105-101 victory.

Congratulations to MBB's Jordan Alexander, MACCC Basketball Player of the Week! #PR1DE The freshman guard averaged 27.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in helping lead the Lions to a 2-1 record during the Bank of Grandin Thanksgiving Classic played in Poplar Bluff, Mo. After opening the three-day tournament with 22 points (8-17 FGs & 5-6 FTs) and 5 rebounds against host Three Rivers College, he came back the following day with 27 points (7-11 FGs, 4-7 treys & 9-10 FTs) and 7 boards in EMCC's 84-62 win over Wabash Valley. The Buffalo, New York native then capped his successful holiday tourney performance by matching his season high with 33 points (23 in 2nd half) on 10-18 FGs, 7-15 treys and 6-6 FTs, while adding 5 rebounds, in the Lions' 95-85 victory over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. Alexander entered the week ranked fourth in the MACCC in season scoring average (20.8 ppg) and 23rd in NJCAA Division I.
