@PauletteSteeves Mi'kma'ki (Nova Scotia) has free publicly accessible LIDAR dataset nsgi.novascotia.ca/datalocator/el… I have fieldchecked over 200 sites trying to stave off destruction of trail trees by deforestry/mining. What I continue to learn and rediscover is mindblowing. Documented @iNaturalist

@PauletteSteeves Following trail trees in Mi'kma'ki for the past year I am now identifying culturally significant monumental mounds that appear to originate as a technology. They are highly magnetic and are associated with engineered channels and reservoirs. I am an engineer and an archaeologist.

Fieldwork underway way in Mi'kma'ki (Nova Scotia) indicates monumental mound building with sunken reservoirs was initially done for technological reasons.
