western fans will say “keep anime Japanese” until it’s a show they don’t like/understand because they didn’t grow up in the Japanese fandom and then it’s suddenly “thing, japan” (which doesn’t even make sense because japanese people live in japan)

This scene makes more sense when you realize Kuuga was meant for a prime time slot and not an early morning tv slot next to other kid’s shows. If Kamen Rider ever moves off the early morning time-slot you may see stuff like this coming back.
