Proud that one of my last votes in Congress was for the Puerto Rico Status Act. Throughout my time here, I have championed statehood for PR, but the choice must be up to the people themselves. This bill is a step in the right direction for #PuertoRico to determine their future.

This week, I gave my final speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. As my congressional career draws to a close, I am proud of my service. This job hasn't been easy, but nothing truly worth doing ever is. Watch here ⬇️

When I was considering running for Congress, @SpeakerPelosi called personally to express her confidence in me and to encourage me to take the leap. She has been an inspiration for so many young women and has made our country a better place.

We can disagree on policy, but we shouldn't make it personal. It is the responsibility of elected officials to turn down the rhetoric and return civility to our public debates.
