70 years ago today the world's first submarine nuclear reactor reached full power, two weeks prior to USS Nautilus (SSN 571) getting "Underway on Nuclear Power".

Today marks my last day as a member of the House of Representatives. I am immensely grateful to have had the opportunity to serve Central New York and the Mohawk Valley in this role. I believe the country is on a better trajectory today than it was just two years ago. Public service is an honorable pursuit when guided by desire to do right by our community and our country. What moved me to run for Congress is precisely what moved me to join the Navy in 1990. Stephanie and I are excited for the challenges and opportunities on the horizon, and we remain grateful to everybody who trusted us over the past two years. Our country is in a pivotal moment, and my prayers and support are with President-elect Trump, Speaker Johnson, and all those seeking to make our country more prosperous and secure.

This announcement is great news for CNY, and for American security. Micron will have a crucial role in onshoring critical parts of our tech supply chain and growing America’s share of advanced memory manufacturing over the next decade. Congratulations to all involved!

The prosperity of American citizens for the next century depends on how well we address these issues right now. Whoever wins the next ten years will dominate the next hundred. Leadership is required. Failure is not an option.

Our future at stake, America must dominate energy production, strengthen critical mineral supply chains, and lead the global race for AI. We must align our economy, national defense strategy, and diplomacy to this end.

As a political outsider, I am not surprised by the President’s actions to pardon Hunter. I never believed his promises not to pardon his son. Remember, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Any study of history would tell you Biden’s action was inevitable.

This Veterans Day, take some time to remember and honor those who have worn the uniform of our great nation. We are grateful for both their dedication and their sacrifice in defense of our freedoms.

Stephanie and I are walking confidently forward—thankful that our country is on a much better trajectory today than two years ago when we first stepped into public office. We are grateful beyond words at having had the singular honor of serving our community and serving our country in the House of Representatives. We will continue in some capacity to be a part of the restoration of America that has just begun! Lots of good things ahead, we are walking by faith and not by sight.

Enough is enough! Governor Hochul must stop ignoring the widespread calls to take care of our state’s correction officers.
