Absolutely shocked to find out that Dennis Condrey has passed away. I was fortunate enough to spend time with him at Wrestlecade 2024. We shared a booth, and I was nervous to talk to him because we had never met before. He was so incredibly easy to talk to, and you can imagine how many stories he had to tell. I told him about how much of a fan of his I was and how I enjoyed all the old NWA workers. At one point I asked him who his favorite workers were and what got him into the business, and he said Jack and Jerry Brisco. I ended up seeing Jerry Brisco, and told him where Dennis was. Dennis really appreciated that alot, and introduced me to Magnum TA. Just a funny little exchange of people who we looked up to, and I learned how we really weren’t very different. Also, we were set up across from Ricky Morton. He said look over at Ricky. Ricky was talking to someone and he told me Ricky was lying and he could tell. I said how do you know? He said “His lips are moving” We stayed in touch after and he watched some of my footage, and he told me he really liked my work alot. He said he was vouching for me to a few people as well. That compliment still means so much to me, because I had stopped wearing the Facepaint for about a year at that point, and I didnt have the confidence in myself that I should have. Dennis had never seen metalhead warhorse, but still found my work enjoyable, and thats the biggest compliment I’ve ever gotten. Someone of his caliber enjoyed my work, and that was the greatest motivation I could have asked for. We would message each other on holidays and check in on each other’s families, shared pictures of kids and grandkids. I was lucky enough to meet his wife at the convention, and they were such a happy couple. Dennis lived a life I could only hope to have, and my heart goes out to him and his family. We met at a time that I needed a positive influence, and I’m so fortunate that it was you Dennis, you will be missed my friend
