Do not delay decisions on air defense for Ukraine! This is our main request to our partners after Kyiv suffered a night of horror. At least 10 people have been killed as a result of Russia’s brutal attack against the Ukrainian capital with all types of missiles and drones. Sadly, this number may further rise. Rescue teams continue their work. Russia targeted residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. War criminal Putin can only wage a vile and terroristic war against civilians, women and children. Because in his war against Ukraine’s Defense Forces he cannot achieve a single result. Such strikes are grave war crimes and we are informing all partners and international organisations about them, calling for accountability and strong responses. On the second day of my working trip to Japan, I will be informing all of my interlocutors about this strike and the need to increase pressure on the aggressor and support for the Ukrainian people. We demand strong international responses. Not only words of condemnation but concrete action to stop Russian terror. Decisions on air defense systems and missiles for Ukraine are needed right now, not later! Decisions to increase sanctions pressure on Russia are needed right now, not later! Decisions to increase support for Ukraine, including energy assistance, are needed right now, not later! I also want to particularly emphasise that it is immoral to justify Russian atrocities against Ukrainians by saying that Moscow acts in response to Ukraine’s long-range strikes against Russia. In this war, there is an aggressor and a country defending itself under Article 51 of the UN Charter. Russia has no right to make any strikes against Ukraine, while Ukraine has every right to respond, defend from aggressor, and strike any legitimate military targets in Russia. Do not equate an aggressor and a country defending from aggression. Do not justify atrocities that cannot be justified. This war is not only about Ukraine, it is about principles. And we need everyone in the world to be principled at this challenging time.

…This is a morning for Ukrainians, a morning for Ukraine, and this is what it is like in Kyiv right now. This is not the Donetsk region, where such things have already become a regular occurrence. I remember how what you are seeing once shook the world, but now, today, it simply causes people to have desperate thoughts, a heavy sigh, and silence. Silence, simply because everything has been said long ago, much has been said, and sometimes even very loudly. But... today is morning again for my people. Also, explosions were heard tonight in Sumy, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro region. The full-scale war with russia has been going on for 1590 days already… too long; who could have thought or imagined that everything would turn out this way, and there are still so many unknown events ahead.

❗️Kyiv experienced one of the most massive attacks: the enemy struck residential buildings and civilian infrastructure with drones, ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as hypersonic "Zircon" missiles. 28 locations were damaged in the capital. Currently, there are 25 injured and three dead.

😂 You can’t make this up: a gas station masquerading as a country is getting gasoline as humanitarian aid! Kazakhstan has agreed to supply 50,000 tons of gasoline (AI-92 and AI-95) to Russia as humanitarian aid in July and August. Footnote: This is not a good look for Kazakhstan. Surely, President Tokayev is aware that the fuel his country supplies will be used for military needs before civilian use.

… it is night in Ukraine right now, almost 4 a.m. Ukrainians are underground, those who have such an opportunity in their cities, while others are just in their homes and apartments, hearing, and even watching from their windows, yet another round of nightly explosions and flashes.
