@RepJoeCourtney Does it REALLY seem chaotic to you? By the way, you can’t even get your lie straight. Is it the businesses that are allegedly bearing cost of the tariffs, or the consumers? 🙄

Trump tariffs are making beer more expensive. I met with Athletic Brewing, a major non-alcoholic brewery based in Milford. Brewers in CT and nationwide are getting hit with new 50% tariffs on aluminum cans from Canada that aren’t even made anywhere in US. It’s ludicrous tariffs like these that are needlessly raising costs for American businesses and consumers in the midst of economic uncertainty and an affordability crisis. It’s past time that a bipartisan majority in Congress steps up to rollback these chaotic policies for good.

The Supreme Court’s 6-3 ruling today is a landmark case that is a victory for our constitutional system of checks and balances. As the Court clearly states, President Trump never had the authority to impose sweeping tariffs. Tariffs are a tax paid for by Americans, and under Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, Congress alone is vested with authority to impose taxes. For the past year, American consumers and businesses have and continue to pay more because of President Trump’s unconstitutional tariffs. This week, I visited a small business bike shop in Glastonbury, CT who has been hit hard with unpredictable increasing costs since the President’s ‘Liberation Day.’ With Congress’ authority now affirmed by a conservative Supreme Court, including two Trump-appointed judges, a bipartisan majority must now step up to deliver urgently needed relief to Americans and prevent President Trump from imposing new costs on his illegal whims.

@RepJoeCourtney Tariffs aren’t generally applied to things we don’t make domestically, and aren’t applied to things made here by ANYONE. The result WAS a projected $900,000,000,000 revenue this year…gone. Poof! AWESOME job, dickhead!

@JackPosobiec @realTanyaTay If she’s not bludgeoning Gandolfini with it, and then shaking it in the air and screaming, it means the final scene is also a poorer version. Dimes (Chris Penn) gets shot by two different people in each version.

@RepJoeCourtney Why is there “chaos” in only a few Democrat cities, Joe? Oh right…because it’s YOUR side that’s breaking the law to obstruct them.

A majority of Americans say that ICE has gone too far – 65% according to a recent Marist poll. The simplest way for leaders in Washington to solve the impasse over DHS funding is to listen to Americans. I will continue fighting for ICE reforms that end the chaos in U.S. cities, protect the core constitutional rights of individuals, and keep our communities safe. I will not support a full-year DHS funding bill that perpetuates the status quo. I'm a cosponsor of H.R. 7481, a bill that provides funding to law-abiding DHS agencies, including TSA, FEMA, the Coast Guard, CISA, and other parts of DHS that will be impacted by the lapse in funding.

@RepJoeCourtney Tariffs are NOT a tax. Do you want to know one irrefutable reason why that’s true? You don’t like them!

Tariffs are a tax, and Americans are paying 95% of the cost of Trump tariffs according to new nonpartisan analysis. Finally, the House voted this week to rescind Trump tariffs on Canada. We must go further and reclaim Congress' authority over trade policy. The cost of living crisis is bad enough for Americans without having to bear the weight of these tariff policies.

@FischerKing64 As an America First citizen of Connecticut, I can attest to the validity of this point. Unfortunately, there are far fewer of us than we would like, but we’re working on it.

Blue state conservatives are far more radical than red state conservatives b/c of what they witness/observe - the hatred toward them. Then they get into potential leadership positions and red state ‘leaders’ are flaccid. So that weak Senator in Utah won’t back Jeremy Carl.

The House just took an extraordinary vote to strike down President Trump’s tariffs on Canada – our closest neighbor and a great ally. Congress must go further to reclaim our authority over taxes, vested in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution.

Everyone claiming how reasonable Fetterman is, consider this: 48 Republican senators will now support the SAVE Act, and all the talk is about how we need just 2 more. That number should be merely 1, if he is in fact so “reasonable”. Let’s see how he votes when it matters. 👀

I’ve spent over $1 million funding mobilization groups around the country, and I’m about to put money into the fight against DHS lawlessness in Minnesota and Texas. My belief is that political figures who can raise $$ should be spending it NOW.

@DC_Draino ICE is NOT fully funded. Only NEW spending for ICE is, meaning existing officers will NOT be getting paid. WARROOM has the receipts.

@Peoples_Pundit How can you say “regardless of fraud” without knowing what the fraud actually WAS? I believe your analyses broadly, but you’re starting to chip away at that trust with comments like this.

In 2024, WaPo did this to give Democrats copium because they led on "voter expectations". They trailed on preference and indeed lost the popular vote. In 2020, voter expectations favored Trump. He lost the popular vote significantly (regardless of fraud). This is why pollsters started experimenting with other alternatives such as the "neighbor question" etc. Because expectations failed to be consistently predictive even during polling misses.

This is called "voter expectations", which is significantly different than "voter preference" and hasn't been predictive over it since 2016. Folks, stop listening to wannabes and shills who have no idea what they're talking about. It makes you look stupid to those of us who do.
