ZELENSKYY: Russia will no longer be able to easily and with impunity steal land of Ukrainian people, or any other people currently threatened by Russian ambitions. Modern technology makes occupation extremely difficult for occupier, perhaps more difficult than it has ever been.

The hate of @Keir_Starmer started on the right, far right and left. It was amplified by social media. It became a news agenda and was amplified in polling. It became a primary news agenda and created panic in the PLP, which led to @AndyBurnhamGM seeing an opportunity.

If Burnham becomes PM, he has a hard road ahead with our allies. Because they trust Keir Starmer, who has restored their faith in us as reliable and dependable. They'll be diplomatic, they have to be, they'll smile on the surface. But they will know what Burnham did.

If Andy Burnham wishes to move the job to Manchester, then he should bear the full cost of doing so, rather than expecting the taxpayers to foot the bill. The job is based in London, and if he does not wish to work there, then he should stand down. The Prime Minister's place of work is Westminster, and the official residence is Number 10 Downing Street. It is not a role that can simply be relocated to protect a political legacy in Manchester. What is far more perplexing is why sections of the Labour Party, together with parts of the mainstream media, particularly the Financial Times, appear so eager to promote this narrative. If Reform sweeps to power in the Greater Manchester mayoral election, Labour will have only itself to blame. The political consequences of Andy Burnham's departure should be obvious to everyone.

What an unforgettable way to 'celebrate' the tenth anniversary of Brexit with a refreshing gin and tonic outstanding company and brilliant investigative art brought to life at The Cockpit theatre. Peter Jukes’ latest post on his Substack shows just how deep and terrifying this rabbit hole goes and last night seeing it on stage was nothing short of a revelation. Here is my heartfelt review of an absolute masterpiece. ‘The billboard stands a manufactured lie A line of ghosts beneath a heavy British sky They promised sovereignty they sold a phantom lease And traded solid truth for short-lived populist peace The Trojan Horse was wheeled inside the gate Not filled with soldiers but with algorithmic hate' Ten years ago the Brexit vote changed the course of this country forever and last night at The Cockpit I watched the brilliant culmination of eight years of serious investigative research brought to life on stage. Peter Jukes has taken nearly a decade of uncovering hidden truths and turned it into an extraordinary living warning for the future. I stepped out of my comfort zone to attend the first dramatised reading of his experimental epic play Trojan Horses and the experience was nothing short of a revelation. For anyone who has followed his work or read his original poem on Substack where this entire journey began seeing this piece brought to the stage proves that serious investigative journalism can be deeply poetic. Peter Jukes together with the incredible team at Byline Times has done a monumental job over the years. In a country where so many journalists perform the way they do feeding us gossip anonymous sources and agendas set by media owners where eighty percent of them are not even British they constantly fail the fundamental lesson of my schoolteacher who taught us the vital questions of the Who What Where When and Why. Peter and his team are definitively changing the media landscape by bringing those exact fundamental lessons back to life and shifting the way things are done in modern broadcasting with their serious fearless and real investigative journalism. Listening to the stellar cast last night took me back to my youth. It felt like being a teenager again sitting with my father while he told me stories about Churchill and Stalin mimicking their voices so I would always remember how history is written. The actors in Trojan Horses did exactly that with Peter’s incredible piece of work. They realised his investigative jigsaw so powerfully turning years of deep research into something raw real and heartbreakingly alive. Through an unusually complex structure where the performers speak directly as the figures from the screens Peter’s voice was present through every single second of the play. We watched them embody characters like Surkov, Dugin, Bannon, Trump, and Farage exposing the hidden puppet strings of the first great information war. By turning cold data into a powerful human story that everyone can feel Trojan Horses ensures that no one who sits in that theatre will ever look at the news the same way again. Giving life to these eight years of research has realised an essential piece of work that the British public desperately needs to see. Sitting in that audience we could clearly see everything that we as citizens have been witnessing for all these years on social media in the media and all around us. We are living witnesses to this dark chapter of our modern history and we know that everything Peter Jukes has told us is the absolute truth. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Peter for everything you do as a journalist and as a man and thank you to Steve Unwin for directing this performance so brilliantly and bringing this vital story to life on the stage. Best regards and I wish you the best of luck and every success in your future work and in bringing this production to the wider public. #TrojanHorses #BylineTimes #PeterJukes #InvestigativeJournalism #Brexit10Years
